Best New Hotel or Mixed-Use Development | South American Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference

Isidora 3000 is Santiago's first true mixed-use project. The building occupies an entire city block and faces directly onto Plaza Peru on Isidora Goyenechea, a boulevard that cuts through the heart of midtown. The Plaza itself is a major public square, where residential fabric meets El Golf, a growing shopping and business district studded with 20th century palaces, hotels, restaurants and corporate headquarters.

The site's plaza foreground and mountainous backdrop inspired a design of faceted planes that modulate the building's immense scale, while creating an undulating roofline that reflects the mountains surrounding the city. The public façade reveals the diversity of program elements and engages the city and street life. These elements feed off a central circulation zone, with bridges and escalators punctuating the continuous vertical space. W Santiago surpasses all existing facilities and offerings in Santiago and redefines the global premium market.

The interiors draw upon the country's geography, diversity and culture, while the landscaping includes a verdant wall made up of more than 7,000 plants of 24 species, each selected to bloom in a distinct season. W Santiago's retail establishes the project as a cultural destination. The centerpiece is a wine boutique-South America's largest-which showcases an exhaustive collection of Chilean wines in a 10,000 bottle, 90-foot-tall wine cellar.

The project has contributed greatly to Plaza Peru's renaissance. Its diversity of uses has brought professionals, native residents, tourists, and shoppers directly to the Plaza, with new visitors discovering it every day.

At 31 stories, the complex is one of Santiago's tallest buildings. Within its 1.1 million square feet are: 134,000 SF of offices; 243,000 SF of hotel & convention center; 86,000 SF of condominiums; 93,000 SF of retail, gym and spa; and parking for 846 cars.
