Situated in the heart of Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province in China, and adjacent to its new high speed rail station, this 50 story mixed-use project combines a five star hotel, class-A office space, a high-end shopping mall, a below grade market, a restaurant located on roof gardens, an interior food court, and a connection to the future subway system. The building’s massing and design suggest a crystalline formation of overlapping and intersecting volumes. This full block building captures a unique triangular site and acts as the visual terminus for a number of important urban view corridors. Directly to the east of the site is the lively Erqi Square and a number of pedestrian streets with active retail.

Our design connects to this retail corridor both at grade, and with below grade connections to the future subway system, creating retail storefronts at both levels, and drawing visitors and shoppers up and into an eight story retail atrium within. This modern day reinterpretation of Rockefeller Center promises to be a vibrant and exciting part of Zhengzhou.
