West 37th Street Sites New York, NY |
Situated between 37th and 38th Streets along Tenth Avenue in the new Hudson Yards District, the West 37th Street sites provide residential, retail, and parking uses to this rapidly developing neighborhood. Site A, at 455 West 37th Street, totals 336,000 square feet and features rental units ranging from 400 to 1400 square feet. The building rises 24 floors with approximately 400 units, 80 of which are designated for affordable housing. In this strategically zoned residential portion of the West Side City Planning initiative, West 37th Street recaptures the grandeur of New York's great boulevards with the Tenth Avenue façade rising to a uniform height of 100 feet. Amenities include a fitness center, laundry, valet, a public rooftop garden, as well as parking for 150 cars and bicycle storage. Its exterior is composed of brick, metal panel, and glass, a sensitive yet modern response to its 100-year-old surroundings. |
Across Tenth Avenue at 505 West 37th Street, Site B's two towers have a combined total of 860,000 square feet: the East Tower is 43 stories tall with 462 rental units and the West Tower is 34 stories with 373 units. Each apartment features hardwood floors, high ceilings, kitchens with high gloss white cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances; and modern bathrooms with subway tile, mosaic floors and marble accents. Floor-to-ceiling windows maximize outstanding city and water views. The ground floor includes gardens, 22,000 square feet of retail space, a 14,000-square-foot residential lobby and club room. The Residents' Club includes a gym, club rooms with access to the garden, and second floor terraces. The West Tower roof supports additional club rooms and landscaped roof terrace with stunning views of Manhattan and the Hudson River. The project also includes two levels of below-grade parking. Rockwell Group was the Interior Designer for the residential amenity spaces. |
