Handel Architects is collaborating with Page & Turnbull on the restoration and rehabilitation of the Aronson Building at 700 – 706 Mission Street in San Francisco. The 10-story building, originally designed by San Francisco architecture firm Hemenway & Miller, was built by Abraham Aronson in 1903. It survived both the 1906 earthquake & fire and the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, and stands today looking much as it did in 1906.

The restored Aronson building will house a residential lobby and retail space on the ground level, space for the new Mexican Museum on levels two through four, and either residential or office space on levels five through ten.
